The entire top floor, previously the hay barn, is open plan and the sheer space and volume is enhanced by the high ceiling of historic exposed rafters and entire glass wall that invites you to look down and admire the whole valley.

The area is so easy to move around and inviting that it is difficult to know where to explore first  but the naturally intelligent lay-out  draws you to the different areas at different times of the day.

With virtually the whole wall windowed the original fireplace crackling and deep comfortable sofas for all, this is the perfect area to wind down after a long days skiing and tell increasingly wild stories about the day's adventures

A simple but very elegant old farmhouse table contrasts beautifully with the 70s style chairs and is conveniently positioned to be close to the kitchen and at the same time benefit from the quite extraodinary views over the valley as the sun is both  rising and setting

A very well equiped and social kitchen with lots of preparation surfaces and a convenient kidney shaped breakfast bar provides a perfect location to both cook and for your guests to enjoy each others company.

Tucked away under the rafters on the ground floor this is a really well equiped TV room with great sound, ambient lighting and comfortable chairs and sofas where everyone can enjoy a movie or the gaming.

This room gets the sun in the morning and with its open plan bathroom and elegant fittings is my favorite room in the house. Sleeping well here has got to be a certainty.

The owners' preferred bedroom is the grandest in the chalet but still maintains its original farmhouse feel.

This room is great, there is not one straight wall nor line, the door and the frame, although not dated, look and feel like originals.

Not only is it a pleasure to appreciate the centuries of use this building had as a farmhouse but also the effort it has taken to rescue it from decades of disrepair while retaining all the charm and character of he original features.

We simply love spending time in this chalet.

The history of it is everywhere you look with original door frames, beams and stonework combining harmoniously with the fresh renovation to create supreme elegance and comfort in every room.

To complete this the owners have spent enormous time and effort in countless markets and antique stores to find the right pieces for each room.
