Put a group of the world's best freeriders at the top of an eye-wateringly steep Chamonix descent. Get them to race down it anyway they want. The person who picks the best line wins. And that, in simple terms is the Freeride World Tour. The event is held in stages from one side of the world to the other taking in Sochi in Russia, Verbier, Crystal Mountain and of course, Chamonix. local lad Aurelien Ducroz won the event in 2011 and the whole town, probably one of the best places in the world for freeriding, comes out in support of the show.
