Chamonix Information
Restaurants and eating out in Chamonix
Some ski resorts in France are all about tartiflette and fondu. Chamonix certainly enjoys its Savoyard fare but you would be missing out on some excellent restaurants if that's all you ate. If you're staying in one of our luxury chalets and only have one night off to fend for yourself choose wisely. If you've picked one of our self catering apartments then the valley is at your disposal.
So what do you fancy? Casa Valeria is a crowded, noisy, buzzing Italian popular with locals and serving tasty pasta, pizza and cotoletta alla Milanese with robust wines. Prefer modern fusion? Head to Le Munchie in Rue des Moulins for Japanese inspired dishes with a twist. Never eat at an establishment without Michelin stars? The Albert Premier has two.
Atmosphere which overlooks the racing Arve river has a reknowned wine cellar while L'Impossible specializes in organic, slow-cooked modern Italian in a rustic environment – a good choice for any vegetarians.
For the budget conscious (or those who would rather be in a bar than lingering over a meal) you have the healthy take away option Papillon, or the burger option of Midnight Express. Neapolis is a friendly and affordable Italian while MBC is a brew pub that also serves up filling and hearty fare – try the lattice fries.
