CONTACT Peter Vainer
Peter has lived in Chamonix since 1999 ever since bringing down the curtain on 10 years in the fashion industry with the first company he started Favourbrook. Favourbrook is still running strongly managed by his two partners Marina Wallrock and Oliver Spencer.
After a year of getting to know Chamonix he opened a lounge bar called L'Expedition with Laure Chatelard.
For all those who had the pleasure of spending some time there... Thank you for helping make it as good as it was.... And for all those who didn't, sorry we closed in 2004 from sheer exhaustion.
Peter established Chamonix Ten80 later in 2004 with Tim Welch and Alistair Slinn, a property management company that has continued to grow and is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of over 120 properties up and down the valley from which we have selected the properties on the Ten80 Holidays site.
Peter lives happily in Chamonix with Laure and his three children, genuinely loves his current job and sees looking after owners and guests as a culmination of everything he has learnt so far in his varied and illustrious career.
PS The picture is not of him!
CONTACT Chris Ingham
Chris began a long distance love affair with Chamonix in the early 90's and is excited to join the team at Ten80. His attention to detail and dedication to superb customer service fit right in with the exceptionally high standards we aim to meet.
Previously Chris has spent the last 14 years with London's Jermyn Street Tailors Favourbrook designing and selling some of the most distinctive and idiosyncratically flamboyant formal tailoring for which the brand is famous, leading to their growing success.
It was however a surprise to most that Chris left for London after living in Paris for almost eight years, variously studying, teaching and finally finding his muse in fashion. But thanks to those years in Paris, love of the French language and extensive travels throughout France including countless stays in Chamonix, Chris is as much at home there as he is now in Fulham.
Desperate to remain active, outside of the winter ski season, Chris can be found behind or driving speeding waterski-boats, on his bicycle and open water or pool swimming. He sees these activities as the antidote to excessive dining pleasures, ageing and London life in general. More sedately he enjoys photography, recently becoming an accomplished still-life studio photographer.
CONTACT SynesisDigital
Michael Kayson has been been designing, branding and marketing companies and websites since 2003. Originally from London, he has seen many careers and had many bases before finally setlting full-time in Chamonix in 2005. What began as local freelance design and programming has now become an international communications company, and along with a considerable number of multilingual travel industry brands catered for by SynesisDigital Ltd, the small team's portfolio also includes clients across Europe, in fields as diverse as aviation, accounting, and Premiership Football.
A long time friend of Ten80 Holiday's owner Peter Vainer, Michael's input to the brand and website has been personal as much as professional, and his ongoing involvement in the evolution of the company will ensure that the Ten80 Holidays brand will stay at the cutting edge of design, software, and user experience.
When not in front of a computer screen, Michael will be found either rock climbing or out running with his Border Collie, Sasha.
